Does anyone know of any diver services in the Moultonborough/Meredith area that will assist with the annual installation of boat moorings? We have three boat moorings and we drop the chain when we remove the mooring balls each fall. They need to be retreived and the mooring balls installed.

when I was reading your post, this add was at the top of the page. How ironic!
sorry, there was a link for WIS (Winnipesaukee Island Services) i believe it was. Unfortunately when I pasted the link and tried it it was something else. So much for trying to be helpful :(

Thanks Chaos for trying!

If the chain will come to the surface then buy a 100 or so pound pull magnet and some nylon cord. I dropped mine before in about 12 feet of water, took about 5 minutes to get the end of the chain and pull it up. When you remove the ball in the fall, buy a small float ( about 2 inches by 3 inches) attach it to the chain with a nylon cord long enough to allow the chain to rest on the bottom and the float on the top, problem solved the next spring.

I don't want to take business away from any of our great divers here on the forum but, a grappling hook can take care of hooking the chain too.

Thanks to all for your feedback. I learned quite a bit from all of you.
