Is a cougar the same as a mountain lion?I have not seen discussion of cougar sightings.

Here is a paragraph from the linked article:

The cougar is also known to many as the catamount, ghost cat, mountain cat, mountain lion, panther, or puma. The eastern cougar has been thought by many to differ from its western counterpart in its tawny color and longer tail.

So yup, a rose is a rose is a rose etc.. just some different names.

I've seen lots of Codgers in the lakes region, especially on Rt. 28 heading south around the end of December. Mainly migratory, they winter in Florida and other southern climates. In the Summer they are often seen on golf courses in the early morning, and in line at most drugstores at any time of the day. I've also found that they are quite friendly as long as they are approached from within their peripheral vision. Remember to speak louder than usual to maintain coherent conversation.

I'm wondering if Florida codgers are actually Eastern Codgers who've migrated to Florida.
