I figure people could chime in with reports from our local Winnipesaukee area riding conditions.
I posted in another thread last night about the conditions of the Neck Trails in Moultonboro.
Today we left from Suissevale and headed up the Castle Trail up and over Mt Shaw to W. Ossippee to the Snow X races. Conditions were early season type conditions this morning. Decent coverage, some water bars and bumps, some "snirt." All in all a decent ride over the mountain. Coming back was a different story. It seems as though the state did not groom the trails Friday night and it really showed coming back up and over the mountain. The passable conditions from the morning had deteriorated quite significantly by 3:00pm this afternoon. If they groom tonight I am not sure what the conditions will be like but the snow coverage is thin. We need another big storm.
Moultonboro trails at the base of the castle were the best we rode by far. I did not venture any further into Moultonboro today.
Side note: I met "Skip" today at the Snow X event, as he was working at the gate. What a great guy! It's always great to put a face with the name.
