I heard it's snowing at a good pace in Meredith OHR. That's good news!

Just above Sandy Point, looking at the top of my woodshed (structure to hold firewood, not the restaurant ), we have 4 to perhaps 5 inches, but snow seems to be lightening up a little, better visibility, smaller flakes (snowflakes, not shorter idiots ).

And I probably have way too much time on my hands today! :rolleye1:

Channel 9 has reported that here in Sandown, NH we have 14" so far and looking out my window I can agree. I see no need to go out to verify this though as my stairs are drifted in with snow.
Right now it is snowing a little lighter than it has been all morning.

Wow!!!! Haven't seen this in a long long time; 23 inches without the drifts here in southern Connecticut. Everything is pretty much shut down. I think it's heading north and east. I know you guys love it ,Good Luck.

Just finished snowblowing two 80 foot-long driveways + 50 feet of sidewalk here in Clifton, NJ. Nice light, powdery snow. Thank goodness for my Ariens snowblower. The sun is out and the icicles are melting. No wind, so it was very pleasant outside doing the clean-up. Checked the Alton Bay webcam at the Pavilion and you can barely see the bandstand. Sandy Point is invisible. I hope the snow and ice last until the Winter Carnival weekend!

Measuring 6" in the northern part of Meredith...

8" of quasi powdery snow now with a heavy band of snow moving in according to radar. Sounds lame compared to what's going on in Southern New England but that's the story in the Meredith area.

A solid 10 inches of powderly snow. Looking at the weather radar, and the snow is now moving in from the east, and continuing to move east or northeast.

We hit a solid foot measured out on the tennis court in Wolfeboro at 1:15.
More to come. WMUR was showing only 8". No way. More than that for certain.:D Looks like it should start slowing down a bit in a few hours. Say 4 pm.

Up here on Turkey Hill in West Alton we had 14" at 1 PM. Made a pass with the snow plow at 12:30 and it is nice light powder snow, easy to plow. Looking at the radar I would guess another 3 or 4 inches yet to go.
The snow shoes are ready to go, now if I can just talk my wife into breaking trail:D

Just northeast of Worcester and we are approaching 2'. I went out at 8AM and cleared most of the driveway. It was already well over a foot at that point. Checked about an hour ago and the "cleared" area already was over 4", and it's still coming down like crazy.

Despite all the comments in other threads, kudos to the forecasters on this one. They predicted this one dead on, and pretty much called it 4-5 days ago.

10-12" in the snow shadow of Moultonborough. I've been watching the radar and the Ossipee mountains seems to be catching quite a bit more. After snowblowing out the place a bit (version 1), I took a short snowmobile ride out on the lake. The conditions are sublime! :D

I'm in Waban,MA and just came in from clearing the driveway of at least 18" inches. We still have power here although the power lines are definitely sagging as are most of the tree limbs.

Picture is around 9:00 am today

I snowblowed the driveway about 9AM and there was about a foot then. Just went out to clear around the mail box and there is at least 6" more. And its still coming. I'll wait until its done before going out again.

Just shoveled off the deck next to the golf course at Waterville Valley and it was an honest 12" of excellent quality, dry snow......a little wind blown but not too much. So, that probably means that the ski area will be reporting 18" of snow what with their ski area, measuring technology.:rolleye2:

Seems like the storm has pretty much rolled through what with the moon showing through the cloud cover and just some light snow falling now. The temps here today had a high of about 25-degrees.

Black Cat Island Weathercenter (http://www.blackcatnh.com) has had 17.2 inches of snow for the storm, all in less than 24 hours. This has not happened for many years. It's still snowing. We had several hours of very heavy snow today. For a couple of hours this afternoon, visibility was about 1/8 mile in snow. Winds gusted to 32 mph.

When winds were from the northeast, the Ossipees were blocking some of the snow from reaching this area as LG mentioned. However, there's another phenomenon I noticed with the Dec. 26 storm and again with this one. The low pressure became a "bomb" which means its central air pressure dropped rapidly -- intensifying the storm. When that started to happen, the wind started coming more from the north, more toward the storm rather than around it.

That northerly direction allows the storm circulation to get past the Ossipees and into the NW end of the lake.

It is still snowing here, so 17.2 is not going to be the final total for the day.

Just measured and we have a solid 15 inches, perhaps even 16 inches, on the west side of the bay just above Sandy Point, or actually above Keywadin Park.

Still fluffy, still snowing lightlyat 740 PM. Also windy, with some drifting.

Got home and grabbed the tape measure. 17" on the deck out front, 16" on the septic field out back, 18" on the driveway at the south side of the house and 17" on the yard on the North side of the house. So I would say an avg. of 17".

Now the pile of snow at the top of the driveway was waist deep from the plow going by all day. I had fun getting through that....snow going down my boats made it even more enjoyable.....:rolleye2:

Oh yeah I am in Suissevale in Moultonborough. course it snowed about another half inch since then.

Right in the neighborhood where low life's trespass then argue with the land owners, then claim that their going to buy a large tract of land and start an educational farm even though they have no money and share a trailer with 50 plus dogs ,than concoct a story...... oh you get the idea

Final total at Black Cat is 17.4 inches. The moon is out now, with a few stars overhead. This much snow, in less than 24 hours... not sure when was the last time this happened. January 1994 comes to mind. This much snow on a calendar day (midnight to 23:59)... probably even longer ago.

The WeatherCam page, re-designed last summer, now has quick links to snowfall reports and maps. Look at the menu to the left of the current camera image on BlackCatNH.com (http://www.blackcatnh.com). Both "recent weather" and "storm observations" open sub-menus that include snowfall reports by the National Weather Service, including this station.

Looks like there were a few 20-inch totals around the lake, and in the rest of the state as well.

Whoever gets up the ski slopes first tomorrow morning will be able to cut freshies in powder. There's a 20-inch amount reported from Laconia, so we may assume Gilford, and Gunstock's north-facing slope, probably gathered up even more.
