I heard today that they are already starting to gather at Lee's Mills. I was kayaking at Lee's Mill's on Tuesday and there were already two steamboats parked at the docks.

My wife and I took a ride out to Lee's Mills today to check out the steamboats. We saw several putting around around and several more tied up at the docks. My wife commented about a couple that were riding low in the water. Must have been a wild ride back in the day when the lake blew up and water was coming in over the sides. The setting is perfect out in the narrow quiet section of the lake. Its hard to remember that its still Lake Winnipesaukee. What was really amazing was we didn't see one bonehead!
ps. sorry no photos to post. Forgot my card reader at home.

As I was leaving Lee's Mill yesterday on my daily walk with my dog, they were pounding in "No Dogs Allowed" signs at the entrance to the parking area.
I was surprised to see a bunch of campers set up there as well. Can this be done during the summer?
Couple of boats steaming through the barber pole right now.

The only information I could find online is this:
The town of Moultonborough sponsors this annual 10-day meeting of Steamboats, now in its 38th edition. The Meet features a parade of boats each Sunday of the event. The parade occurs at 2pm on the first Sunday, and at 10am on the second Sunday. There is also a race on Wednesday from the Moultonborough town docks to 19 Mile Bay in Tuftonboro. (from weirsbeach.com)Has anyone else found any other information about the rally online?
I'd like to go over and shoot some video but I need to know the best day and time to attend. Is Sunday the 19th the best day or do most of the steamboats head home right after the parade?
There are lots of great pictures from previous rallies in the Steamboat Gallery in PhotoPost (http://www.winnipesaukee.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=15055). Here are a few samples:

http://www.steamboating.org/ISS/Webcal/wc2010ys.html#9Thanks. Following those links I found the video below. I think they are also talking about the guy in the last picture above that I took in 2005. They mention it is on "that Winnipesaukee page".
