Paugus Bay Eagle?

I was out on Paugus Bay last week when I spotted what appeared to be an eagle just past big island, even with binoculars I could not a get a good look. My friend who was with me said it was an eagle. Just wondering if anyone else may have seen this bird around?

I have seen them as well over Paugus Bay near Lakeport. A friend has taken many photos of them here in the Lakes Region. Reggy took this photo near Martel's Boat House, Lake Winnisquam.

I WAS going to wait for Dr. Shasardam to identify and confirm your sightings; however, it was definitely an adult bald eagle that flew right overhead here, about 200 feet above the lake, today -- Sunday -- just before noon.

He (or she) was making a beeline (well, an eagle-line) towards Paugus Bay.

Because bald eagles are sensitive to human activity, Park Rangers and biologists will approach no closer to an actuve bald eagle's nest than one mile!

A friend of mine took a tour of Sqaum Lake recently. During the tour they saw a Bald Eagle. They were told by the tour operators that there's a pair with 1 baby nesting somewhere on or near Squam. Perhaps it was one of the adults.

We took the tour last year and saw the nesting pair. The nest is on one of the islands.

A bald eagle came back Thursday.

Although a half-mile away, there's no mistaking the way the bald eagle holds its wings in a dead-straight line when soaring.

September is the month for New Hampshire hawk-watching, though, according to today's Union-Leader.

Thats the biggest and most beautiful White Cap Hawk I've ever seen around here. ;)

Actually, the picture found me!

A "little old lady" neighbor (80's), with astonishing computing skills, e-mailed them to me. The photos are a group of ten -- "2004's Best Photographs" -- and indeed they are.

Too bad I can't share the rest of them with the Forum: there's some cute, mostly animal-babies, photos.

This particular bird's song goes..."C'ong-Ker-Reeeeee?" It appears the "Ree" part was just leaving it's beak when the shutter was tripped. The first note, (the C', of C'ong-Ker-reeeee?) appears as the backwards, "C" -- in the lower right of the photo. (Maybe it's in "C-minor")?

Careful now, I think they'll create a wake, causing shoreline erosion, causing white foamy lumps. Not to mention the 'by products'. Couldn't just post a beautiful picture and leave it at that, had to go do some "sniping" and in typical fashion throw in some negative comment in.

Proof in your own words that (some?) of your posts are 'planted' intentionally "just to aggravate" somebody. a BIG BIG NO NO on the forum -- this is called trolling and a clear violation of the forum FAQ's.
