Well, here I am in Meredith, for 11 days now. Having a blast, but still no baby. :rolleye2:
I have cruised all over the Lakes Region. From Ossipee to Franklin, and all points in between.
Ate twice at George's Diner. Stuck my feet in the water at Ctr. Harbor. Drove down Moultonborough Neck Road yesterday. I had forgotten how beautiful Long Island Beach is.
Really checking out old haunts.
The weather has been great, for the most part. Sunday was cool and overcast but nice nonetheless.
I still want to go to Mame's but don't know if I will get the chance. Got soem yummy butter and sugar corn, too.
I will let you know when the baby arrives.
I am going to miss the get together at Cate Park by one day, :rolleye1: but I was there the other day, anyway.

Gilly, you're gonna love it. Some leaves are starting to change.
How did you fare from Frances? I hope not much damage in your neck of the woods.
Later.............

Well, here I am in Meredith, for 11 days now. Having a blast, but still no baby. ....

The nice weather hit just as summer is ending. You got some good days in during the last 11 Lady Di. Bet you are glad you didn't pick Miami (what did that have, 3 or 4 hurricanes?) Don't you live in FL anyway?

No Baby? I guess you or a relative are expecting? Did you travel to the Lake to have a baby? I don't have any pregnant experience but I thought you shouldn't be bumping a lot the last month of 2 or your expected delivery. No long car rides, airplanes or pleasure boats is what I heard. Maybe it was just on a TV show. Anyway I am a little confused.

Hope the rest of your vacation is also enjoyable. Let us know what you have been doing and about the baby.

Wait, I get it :rolleye2: . You must want to talk about the baby in the forum and still keep the topic related to the Lake  . What better way than to come to the lake to have your baby.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi there - my beloved wife (Lady Di) is in NH for the birth of our third grandchild. Overdue. She is having fun doing all that eating and touring. But no baby. I weathered the hurricane in Grobania (Central Florida) but miss my Lady Di. She will be home soon. Count "on" Richard xoxoxox

Overdue? Babies don't read calenders very well. Maybe the baby doesn't know the due date the doctor predicted. Good luck in Florida to Mr. Di and to Lady Di in Meredith and to all involved.

Good Evening Folks And Friends Of Lady Di!!!!!!
Our Third Grandchild Made Her Appearance At 1pm On Wednesday, September 8, 2004 At The Local Lakes Region Hospital. Paternal Grandmother "lady Di" Is Beside Herself........and Very Glad That She Changed Her Flight To Come Back To Grobania, Florida On Friday, September 10. I Will Be Meeting Her At Orlando Airport With A Bouquet Of Windblown Charly-frances Flowers From Our Garden (we Still Have Some Yellow Roses Left Since Our Two Hurricanes).
The Baby Girl, Erin Leigh, Weighed 7lbs 13oz And I Guess Length Is Important To Know.....20". She Has Very Cute Dimples And Big Big Eyes Like Mommy And Daddy.
I Want To Extend A Big Thank You For All Of My Wifes Friends Here . . . Who Have Supported Her, Encouraged Her, Laughed With Her, And Been Happy With Her As The Weeks Worked Their Way To This Momentous Occasion. Thank You. She'll Be Back Online Maybe Saturday Night. Love To All.

Congratulations Grandpa and Grandma Lady Di. It is always nice to see good news on the forum. Lady Di will have even more reasons to get back to the big Lake to visit this grandchild. Soon Lady Di needs to get back to Florida before she misses another hurricane  and I bet you could use a good home cooked meal.

I left Meredith at 6:20 this morning, with the sun bursting through the leftover clouds from yesterday's inclement weather. I stopped for a coffee at Dunkin' Donuts at 104 and I-93. Driving down from True Rd. I had tears in my eyes, having to leave. Son did, too. The baby came home today. I called and they are all fine. I did have my dinner at Mame's last night, solo. Prime rib. It was wonderful. The hostess, Laura, was very accomodating when I told her I was dining alone, and wanted a cozy spot. I will e-mail Mame's and let them know.
So......I was there, and it was great. Now I will read everything everyone writes, and close my eyes and remember.
....and brace for Ivan........ :(

Thanks, and stay safe, all.
