I'm going to have my grandkids up for the first week of August, age 4 ( almost 5) and age 14. Looking for ideas for good take out food in Center Harbor / Meredith area, and also any ideas on things going on that week. We'll be at the beach a lot of the time, maybe take a ride on the Mount. I've never been to the Science Center in Holderness either....thinking of that.

The water slide is open at night at Weirs. That could wear them down a bit. ($10)

I saw a sign at the go carts across from Fun spot that little kids can be a passenger for free. The 14 year old could rise to super star status driving the younger sibling around the track. Hey I was driving the family car at 14 but don't tell my parents.

Just finished a delightful two weeks with our children, their spouses, and 8 grandchildren all under the age of 6....all under one roof. One of the biggest hits was the Science Center.....it is great. The Fun Spot Arcade and Bowling alley are great for a rainy day...The CH Beach is fun...and The Monkey Trunks rope line and zip line challenge in Tamworth/ Rt. 16 / is awesome. Just some ideas....

The little ones might like stuffing and dressing their own animal at Animaland at Winnis Wood down at the Pier on the Weirs. For that matter the older ones might too.

great ideas......thanks !! Science Center sounds like a sure thing, water slide, go carts, etc. Ryan, the 14 1/2 year old, would probably LOVE Monkey Trunks from the sounds of it. And we'll bring the cribbage board too. Are there any good pizza places in Center Harbor?
Can't wait !

Most of my 6 year old's favorites have already been listed, but I would add Dynamic Ceramics in Gilford. Great for a rainy day but also for when they've just had too much sand and sun!

Is a 2 year old too young to take to the Science Center?
