We've rented a place in Meredith for a week that has a dock for our 20' SeaRay, but not enough room to park the boat trailer. Does anyone recommend any places in the area that we could store it?

Pick up a Bizer Chart of the lake if you are new to it, the rocks can get hungry!

I am in Moultonborough, probably 15 minutes from where you are- if you get stuck PM me and you can park it there.

From about 11-ish to 5-ish, the winds and chop are from north to south. So it is better to be in Center Harbor or Moultonborough at that time of day, than Wolfeboro or Alton if your boat slaps a lot or if you have people who aren't comfortable with a bouncy ride.

Thank you all for your advice and help!

As far as choppy water goes, we've been doing our boat trips in Boston Harbor. So a bit used to rough rides to say the least. You get everything from huge commuter boats to tiny sailboats.

See you all up there the end of July!

I think he means if the wind kicks up the wind direction usually makes it rougher down towards the Wolfeboro side of the lake then the Center Harbor side.... But this is just the most common.. I have been on the back side of Welch getting hammered when the Broads were fine.. It all depends on the day. Always plan for the worst and check your weather reports (especially wind and T-storms) before departing.

The observation is generally probably correct and the advice reasonable, it just caught me off guard as the thread was about looking for a place to park a trailer.

Wasn't sure if I missed something like a post that was deleted or maybe I was just not tracking (its been a crazy week at work and I'm spent,,,)

Matter of fact its been so busy for the last few months I just got the cover of boat (the one that runs,,, I hope,,,)

Oooopppsss, falling off subject,,,

Hope you have a GREAT time Cillovely! If you have time,try the sandbar at Lakeport, my kids LOVE it there! :)
