Found this is about 40 feet of water. When I saw it on side-scan it was surely a vessel. Descended and landed next to it. Old vessel-late 1800's I am guessing, with "bows on both ends" meaning it no identifiable stern-both ends were tapered to points just like a bow, much like a launch.

Very simple vessel in decent shape with an interesting shadow coming off of it and some sort of object amidships-I thought superstructure of some kind-a cabin perhaps but no. Nothing in the hold area.

This vessel has a massive oak log about 20" in diameter and about 25 feet long laying at a right angle on top of the gunwhales-that's what made the shadow. I know it doesn't look like a log in the images.

How it got there I of course don't know, but as I recall it was not tied to the vessel so I assume it wasn't there for ballast. Besides who would lay a log weighing maybe 1-2 tons on it? Use rocks etc. if you need ballast.

Not at all what I expected to see.
