Weirs Beach on a summer day

Weirs Beach Sign Weirs Beach is the center of activity on the lake and still retains the flavor and character of a time when Lakeside Avenue was crowded with visitors arriving by train and steam ship to stay at grand hotels like the Hotel Weirs and dance to the Big Bands at Irwin's Winnipesaukee Gardens. Today Weirs Beach remains a perfect spot to spend a day with it's large sandy beach, boardwalk, arcades and restaurants. A walk down the boardwalk will take you by the station for the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad and several cruises including the 230' M/S Mount Washington.

Weirs Beach is also a favorite destination for recreational boaters with public docks, boat rentals and gas docks in ample supply.
