Another great find mcdude. I remember the Oxbow. It was located in Wentworth Cove (the cove south of the Gov. Island Bridge). Had friends from Silver Sands that stayed there a few times when Silver Sands had no vacancy (Beth, from Boy Street in CT, do you ever get to this web site?).
The old Sea Que docked at Oxbow numerous times to visit. I remember that my Mom was surprised by the really nice stainless steel cookware (pots and pans) that were part of the kitchen items in the housekeeping units while most places had dented, older cookware. The few units I saw were nice but I was more interested in Beth than the decor .
The former Oxbow is now called Timber Bay and I believe that it's a condo facility. Still wonder where the name Timber Bay came from since it is in Wentworth Cove. Maybe folks will start to call that area Timber Bay just like they call Sanders Bay Saunders Bay because of the old Saunders Bay Motel.
Thanks for the memory (where do you come up with these gems?)
