Description: Saw this sail boat about 7:45 AM today on Kingston Lake, Kingston, NH, anchored just off the public launch. Went by on my way home tonight just before 5 and it is still achored there. Sorry for the photo quality but I took this pic with my cheap camera phone.

Description: Cool cloud formations. It never got as warm as the forecast. I guess the "ceiling" was getting twisted in the battle of the warm air above and cool air below.

Description: Last trip of the year for me. Great day on the lake, though not as nice as Thursday. Still plenty of color for the last days of October. Saw 3 or 4 boats out and about. Loons, bald eagle, king fisher and great blue heron.

Description: You never know what you are going to find when you walk around Castle in the Clouds. These Indian pipes are a flowering vascular plant without chlorophyll. They are a parasite on a fungus which in turn is a parasite on the roots of a tree, usually an oak. Description: One of my favorite events is the oxen pull. It's cool to see how well some of the drovers control their beasts. It seams some of the ox respond to gentle coaxing and other to a more firm hand. They're a powerful animal and have had a part in building most of the stonewalls we see throughout New England.

Description: I was drawn to this place because on their grill they had just as many peppers as onions, the sausage looked real good and the proprietor was very outgoing. I was glad I did. The grinder was very good. The hot sausage was very flavorful, not too cooked, fresh roll and tasty well flavored peppers and onions. On a 10 scale I would rate it an 8, one point taken off because it cost $7.00 (the going price). I'll go there again.
