Default Old whard questions

Hi All,
I attach the famous Calvert's map of Winnipesaukee complements of The Weirs Times. Mr. Calvert as I recall was a surveyor back in the 1800's when the paper was started.

On it you see the steamboat route of old with what appears to be a wharf at Cow Island and another at Carr's Point.

1) Does anyone have information on whether or this was a bona fide steamer landing at Cow Island?;

2) While I have dived Carr's Point looking for evidence of a wharf there I found nothing at all;

Does anyone know anything about these two wharves? I need more information and welcome your help.

Thanks.
