Gas in Alton Bay
Just heard that Downings Landing won't be opening the gas pumps this season. That's not good news for those of us based in Alton Bay.

In recent memory, Downing's has always priced their gas substantialy above the lake average. I actually expected to see them open at $3.999.
So now everyone in Alton Bay needs to travel to WAM, Roberts Cove or even further for fuel. Does Parker have a fuel dock? Don't forget Robert's Cove doesn't take credit cards, but they usually have pretty good prices. |

No fuel dock at Parker's. Or Gillan marine. Will just have to go to Roberts and West Alton, though some folks at neighboring slips were talking about using 6-gallon cans as a supplemental source. If you don't have a huge cabin cruiser (we have a bowrider) that might not be a half-bad idea.
