Default Maine / N.H reciprocating Registration ?

Has anyone heard any news on the bill introduced to make Maine & N.H snowmobile registration reciprocating? Last fall I was forwarded a form letter from my club to sign, that was suppose to be given to the Maine legislation. I may be wrong, but I thought I heard that N.H. is for it, but not so much Maine & Vermont.

I read about it in the paper last winter. The article seemed to believe it was a couple more years in the making.

It'd be nice to see things return to the way it used to be - I don't think it has done NH, ME or VT any good to force folks to register in each respective state. The season is far to short to justify spending the money to register in multiple states. Maybe they are now seeing the benefits of doing this from the reciprocity weekends over the past few years. If nothing else it'd be nice to see all three states allow reciprocity for say 6 weeks over the prime of the season.

At least it's nice to hear something is being considered between ME and NH.

I didn't even know there was a discussion about this. I hope it passes between NH and ME at least. I'd love to be able to ride into the burg whenever I felt like it!

Why don't you check the NHSA WEB SITE or Past Issues of your SnoTraveler. It's probably right next to all the information about the NHSA Online MEMBERSHIP Program? The What?????

As a Maine rider, I can't say I visit the NHSA website often enough to have seen it.

Accpiter290,

That's my point, you would not have seen either item mentioned. It's that government word TRANSPARENCY.
