Default Rusty Moose- Tuesday Night Pasta Night

Last night we took advantage of the Moose's Pasta Night.

$15.00 to share a large fresh salad with choice of dressings, warm garlic bread and a choice of two different pasta items which last night were:

-Butternut squash cream sauce with fried sage over spaghetti.

-Sweet Italian sausage and angus ground beef in a rich tomato sauce over penne pasta.

We had one of each and they were great. The serving size was ample and we both brought almost half of the pasta home with us.

Great value and very, very good !

Default Rusty Moose

Love the Moose, or we did. Last time we tried to dine there we were told we couldn't be accommodated even though there was an empty table in the pub that wasn't reserved. Makes it hard to go back.

Did they give a reason? (I assume you had clothes on, right? )

I'm sorry but there must be more to this story.

I agree.. the staff has always been very nice and from what I can see very accommodating. I don't know the owner other than to say hello, but he works very hard at running his business and cares greatly about the product and appreciates his customers.

We were 5 adults looking for a place to have a few drinks and something to eat on a rainy Wednesday night. They were expecting a party of 14 that hadn't arrived and said we may have to wait. Not a problem. When we inquired if an empty table in the bar area was reserved, we were told no it wasn't. We asked if we could sit there. That is when we were told by the hostess that they could not accommodate us.
We have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere at The Moose. I have met the owner and agree he and his staff are top notch. I still believe it is a fine establishment. I wish them nothing but the best. What happened that night still leaves us scratching our heads. It makes it hard to return.

Silly reason to not go back if you enjoyed them in the past but whatever...Just me I suppose...As someone else stated seems like there's something missing here.

I am speculating, but maybe they did not have enough wait staff for the party of 14 and you. We went to Town Docks Sunday for the last day and noted that even though there was a line, there were many tables not in use. If that was the case the restaurant should have given you the option of slower service.

Default Maybe.....

It sure seems like a part of the story missing.....wish we knew the whole thing, there is always 3 sides to every story.....only 1 of them being the whole truth.....lol.

Exactly.

Last Friday we went to a different establishment. 45 minute wait. No problem. We found a table in the pub area, enjoyed a drink while we waited and were called to our table 40 minutes later. We had a great meal and a perfect evening. A very typical night out. Just what most patrons would expect.
