Default The North End

The North End Restaurant will not be opening this season, although I think they are going to be just running a bakery out of there

It seems that this location is problematic for some reasons. Nobody seems to stay in business long their.

IT'S THE DAMM NOISE LEVEL (yes I am SHOUTING). From the day that building opened you could never have a normal conversion with the person across the table. The acoustics in Dinning room were the worst of any restaurant that I have ever eaten in. Some acoustic foam applied to the ceiling and some thing on the walls would have made for an enjoyable dinning experiences. Next time your in the BOB HOUSE Dinning Room (when it's open) look up at the ceiling and you will see what I am talking about.

I never have a bad meal at the North End. Thanks Scott!

I concur. I have a problem with conversations in crowds ... but I found it almost impossible to hear any of my tablemates on the (only) two occasions we were there.
An acoustic engineer/architect should be able to cure this. (easy for ME to say). Then again, my wife thinks I'm deaf. (don't they all??)

A bakery would be a very welcome establishment. Maybe somebody can even make a good crusty bread. I would love to make a vote for Donna Love to come back and start baking her many wonderful desserts!
