Saturday, April 23, and it's snowing some real snow, about one inch of wet slushy stuff that's sticking to everything; trees, grass, and even the paved roads, up in Waterville Valley.
Have to wonder what's it snowing like up at Wildcat Mtn, which last time I checked was still open for skiing? www.skiwildcat.com/

Another sure sign... and not a good one.
Black flies are out in force in north, central, MA. I expect the same will be true in the lakes by the weekend. Saw 1 or 2 there on Sunday. |

Ok, the euphoria over the normal signs of the lakes awakening in Spring is past. When do we really get Spring? This weather pattern is getting old, and no sign of an end when looking at the 10-day forecast.
I need a couple of days in a row of strong sunshine and low wind! |

Yeah, could be worse...I read somewhere that the ski areas in Utah just recently got a foot of SNOW!

I know it won't help any other than letting me vent, but can I complain now?
