Default Central NH could be Bullseye for Feb 2/3 Storm

Yet another storm is brewing....but this one could really target central NH. It looks like it is not going to take a deep southern track like the others, and hit to our south. Instead, it's going to take a deep southwestern dip and then track towards us, spreading ice to the south and major snow our way. That's usually what these southwestern storms do. So who knows -- snow lovers might actually get their fill, finally. Ugh!

Default Happy Ground Hog Day!

Potential Snowstorm events Tuesday-Thursday 12-24" with Blizzard Conditions at times for Lakes Region according to reliable sources. Major Ice Storm possible across Southern New England. Keep an eye on this storm and the next 10 days of Winter. Hint of moderation second half of month fingers crossed.

I'm a fan of the snow, but this storm can't make the pond hockey tournament's organizers very happy (assuming, of course, there is actually a storm).

It could be worse, parts of Mass and points south may be getting an ice storm, 17" of snow, or 10 days without power again, take your pick.....

Here is what they are looking at for MA, I hope some of it makes it to the Lakes region.

Nahsua got around 6" of snow today and my place in Meredith had 2". On the ride from Nashua to Meredith, north of Concord, I was seeing a sleet/snow mix. My wife experienced a period of freezing rain in Center Harbor around 3:30 PM which immediately iced the windshield and roads. Warmer air obviously is/was aloft. I hope that's not the case tomorrow or things could get ugly. Any thoughts from the forum's weather experts?

I'm stuck in China for another day. Argh. Worst part is now I can't go to the UNH-ME game on Friday night as I'll be flying home. Wasn't very hard to give the tickets away

Hopefully the boys in white whip up on the Teddy Bears!
