Default Alton Bay/Pop's/Stillwell's/We're Fortunate

Just sitting here at a picnic table facing the public docks in Alton Bay--just finished a seafood platter from Pop's and an M&M ice cream from Stillwell's. To my right is my 6-year-old son and wife, to my left is my 4-year-old daughter. My thoughts have been on the following, in circular:

Pop's was everything people said it was, Stillwell's is a bargain, the docks in Alton Bay are wonderful, we are incredibly fortunate to have these opportunities, and wow, my children will have such an incredibly different childhood than I had.

Here's to a wonderful summer making new memories. Cheers!

Shortly on Saturday nights, there will be concerts starting at 7pm. All of what you said (except the young'uns) is so good, and we sit on our boat enjoying it all, especially other folks with their kids dancing to the music. Love our quiet, undeveloped piece of the lake.

My wife and I love to do the same. There are many nice spots on the lake each with there own flavor. There's something "old school" about Alton. We are now both retired and will have the time to go up to the lake mid-week and enjoy it when it's less busy. You're right, it's a great spot to enjoy the food and take in the sights including that beautiful Hacker-Craft, Sultana. I love that boat!

They are held at the bandstand in the Alton Bay parking lot, right in front of the Alton Bay town docks.

Default Couldn't agree more!

We love Alton Bay, too. Stillwell's is my favorite!!

This is the Alton Summer Recreation brochure, which has info. about the concerts mentioned above. Bring a blanket or chairs, or listen from the boat and enjoy! http://www.alton.nh.gov/forms/parks/...20Brochure.pdf
