Default Mt. Washington loses title

As reported this morning, the 231 mph record for fastest recorded wind speed has been topped by winds measured in 1996 down under (Australia), during a cyclone.

Since the weather in New England is always changing, I'm not worried that we'll be defeated by the Land Down Under for very long...

Yeah, but we established the record in like 1936. I hope it doesn't take another 74 years to break their record.
