Default Lots of "stuff" growing in the lake

I was out kayaking this weekend around Stonedam Island, and had not been that "close" to the water in a while. I was shocked at how much tall grass and leafy grass-like plants were growing in the shallow water, even where the water is not still/stagnant. I have always loved how clean and plant-free the lake is. Is anyone else troubled by this? Thanks.

I commented about how bad the milfoil was this year a few weeks back.

Default other things in the lake

Well i have not noticed more weeds than in years past i have noticed more trash in the lake this year. We do a lot of snorkeling around a number of smaller islands closer to the broads. This past weekend i picked up 6 beer bottles and cans on the lake floor and would have picked up more if i had more space in my bathing suit. i love to have a great time on the lake as much as the next person but please pick up after yourself and throw your trash out when you get off your boat and not in the lake.

As the little boy said to his mom:
Look mom, that guy has a six-pack!!!

Mom replied:
Yes, I noticed!

I couldn't resist, but thanks for helping to clean up the lake!
