Default Gunstock Acres

I've been looking at properties in Gunstock Acres & would like to know if anyone can give me some info about moorings at the Gunstock Acres beach. I'm aware there is a waiting list, but have been told that about 25% of the 45 moorings become available each year. Does anyone have any personal experience w/this association? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

A friend has lived in the Acres for just over five years. Each year he has applied for a mooring. This year he finally got one.

Not all houses in Gunstock acres are part of the assoc. We bought a house on Mountain dr. 3+ years ago and were told we were part of the assoc, but found out we were not. I forget now, but the price to join was rediculous. They wanted around $2000.

A one time $2000 fee doesn't sound bad to use the beach and have a chance at a mooring each year. Are there yearly ongoing costs as well?

It would likely be a perk for a potential buyer in the future, as well.

I'll assume you don't have anything in writing about being part of the association from when you were contemplating or completing your purchase.
