Avett Brothers just announced for Sept 25. This is quite a coup as they are quite popular now and appeared on the Emmies!
Quote:
The Avett Brothers were formed in 2000 when two brothers, Scott and Seth Avett from Concord, North Carolina, merged their two bands and began writing original music together. The brothers share an amazing amount of musical talent, both on vocals, guitar, banjo and more. Brotherly harmony is heard throughout their music with a style that combines bluegrass, country, punk, folk, rock and roll, honky tonk and ragtime. In 2002 a stand-up bass player, Bob Crawford, joined the group and they recorded their first studio album, Country Wars. The following albums, A Carolina Jubilee released in 2003 and Mignonette released in 2004, showcased the intensity of their music, their refined sound and gave the band their musical direction.

Performing live on late night TV and selling out shows nationwide was evident of the bands growing popularity, and in 2007 their album Emotionalism debuted at number 1 on the Top Heatseekers Album chart. A true breakthrough came in 2009 when they were announced as the opening act for the Dave Matthews Band which led them to also tour with John Mayer later that year. Their latest album I and Love and You is rapidly climbing the charts with the hit singles, “Head Full of Doubt / Road Full of Promise,” “The Perfect Space” and “I and Love and You.”

Bring Kylie Minogue here! For those of you who don't know her, she is a very talented singer from Australia. She's mostly popular in the UK, but she's been touring America recently. She just had a show in Boston, very good show. Google her if you want to find out more about who she is. I'd like to go to the Wiz Khalifa concert they're having, he's a new rapper. Not like Eminem though, I remember when he came, they'll never let him back.

Default He's country!

I love Meadowbrook, but it is always country music. Can't they draw any other blues or rock bands? I like country, but they need more diversity.

Didn't realize that Peter Frampton, Styx, Yes, Miranda Cosgrove, Wiz Khalifa, Bright Eyes, Slightly Stoopid, Hippiefest 20011, Selena Gomez, Chicago, Lynyrd Skyryrd, the Doobie Bros. & ZZ Top were country. Learn something new every day!
