Default End of the season

Heading up to Bear for the last time this weekend. A few hours of work to disconnect the water and shutter the windows and that will put an exclamation point on a great boating season.

Imagine ice out in March! My first time on the lake was April 3rd - earliest ever. Temp was in the 70's. What a day! Except boating that day was like going through a mine field with all the debris in the water. No way ice out could be that early again next year. But we can dream.

It is getting close to calling it a season, but with good weather this weekend we'll be out and about. Hope to get in 3-5 more times on the lake before the marina makes me pull out.

All closed up... Went out for one last ride on Sunday. Shot over to Braun Bay real quick only to find a cpl anchored out on a pontoon boat. I thought I was dedicated. To look at this guy you would have thought it was 90 degrees and sunny. Good for him. When I left he was waist deep in the water sipping a frosty beverage.

What an awesome day for a last ride. Monday it was winterized and wrapped.

See you in the spring,
HCG

Very sad day, took the final ride of the season today. Left Shep Browns went over to the public docks saw a couple of boat tied up. Over to the Weirs turned around and headed for Alton Bay caught a few sprinkles but all in all well any day on the boat is a great day. Now time to either plan for spring or a month in Florida.
