Default Perfect November Day

We took the wife's Whaler out to Welch this afternoon; 59 degrees and just a slight ripple on the water. After a final check on camp we rode around in the Whaler for a while. We saw a total of 5 other boats out on the lake, one of those under sail. Overall very pleasant but probably our final ride this year.

Launching and later hauling out at Glendale, we saw several other small boats using the ramp. So a few others were taking advantage of the nice day.

Thumbs up

One could not ask for a better Nov. 13th day on the lake. I took a nice birthday ride for about an hour. One not being up here sure missed a fantastic day on or off the water.

Default Nov 13th from our view

we woke at about 5:45, made the coffee and went out for the sunrise...I have seen better, but to get these days in November can ask for much more

enjoyed one of the best November days we can remember, opened a bottle (or 2) of wine around 3pm and waited for the sunset...pics speak for themselves

This is why we do it...we work hard during the week so we can come up and enjoy the peacefulness of what the lake gives us

Went out in the kayak the past two days. It was beautiful in Green's Basin. My feet got a little cold in the water as I entered the kayak from our beach. The toes warmed up quickly though. I only wish that today was a warm spring day instead of a warm fall day. Think spring and boating!

Default The Final Sunset

We also made this our last weekend on the island, but what a GREAT weekend!!

We started Friday night and once again had a wonderful dinner at the William Tell Inn.

Saturday was picture perfect on the lake, so we decided to take a boat ride over to Center Harbor to see the Mount Washington on dry dock and also to go to Heaths Hardware for a couple of needed things for the camp.

We then made our way over to Ragged island and to our surprise saw a friend of ours who works for the L.R.C.T. and had a nice conversation with her and enjoyed some sunshine on the dock.

We then headed over to the L.R.C.T. dock on Rattlesnake island as we wanted to walk the trails. Unfortunately the dock was raised for the winter so we continued on our way back to Welch where we enjoyed our final sunset of the year, steaks on the grill, a nice bottle of wine and a fire in the outdoor fireplace.

Brought the boat to Fays today for storage and made our way home to Chester.

What a great ending to a fantastic summer!! Waiting for ice in now to start the ice fishing season!!!

Here's the final sunset for us of the 2010 year...

Dan

Default Jetskiing

We put the jetskiis in Lake Quinsigamond, Worcester, MA yesterday for the last ride of the season. It was wonderful, not Winni, but a ride on a lake just the same. 5 months till ice-out when the jetskiis go to the island again!

Not quite yet. Think snow for those that enjoy the winter months for snowmobiling and ice fishing. I think we all can enjoy each of the 4 seasons. It really was a great weekend for all outdoor activities and those that were at the lake region knows that and can wish those that weren't able to be up here "maybe next year".
