Do you wish to protest 15% ethanol fuel?
http://www.followthescience.org/take-action/
Lifted from another forum I belong to but pertinent to all boaters. Dear BoatU.S. Member, We need your help. If you believe in "science first," now is the time to urge President Obama to require the federal EPA to understand the effects of higher blends of ethanol before allowing it into our country's gasoline supply. Time is critical. Last year, a record number of boaters asked EPA to test marine engines before allowing up to 15% (E15) ethanol in gasoline. This testing has not been completed. Now, in late September or early October, EPA is getting ready to announce their decision. We expect they will allow E15 for some engines and not others. This will create different fuels with different availability, prices, and a lot of consumer confusion. Please help today. Click here http://www.followthescience.org/take-action/ and let President Obama know your concerns about ethanol and ask him to get the science first, before giving EPA the approval for more ethanol in your gasoline. |

This can and will make all of the ethanol problems get worse. How much Startron can you add to protect your fuel system and engine before that becomes an issue. Please voice your opinion to your elected officials. Thanks Kamper for sharing the info. Rob

Now that aside, folks I hope you all see the real game here.... the government is trying to use this to boost the farming industry.... which E10 has helped, unfortunately it has some negative effects on the rest of the economy as food products are affected as well, with a hike in price. Continuing down the road of ethanol, while it might have wonderful environmental effects, may in the end have horrible effects on the overall economy...

http://domesticfuel.com/2005/09/19/e...economy-study/ Miles per gallon The three vehicles averaged only 1.5% lower mileage with E10, 2.2% lower mileage with E20, 5.1% lower mileage with E30, and increased mileage of 1.7% when using the specially denatured E10 blend.

And it takes about the energy in half a gallon of ethanol to make one gallon of ethanol. In the 80s it actually took more than the energy in a gallon to make one gallon.
