Ice Boats?
The BearCam picked up three sails over by Three Mile Island today. Are these ice boats? It's the first sign of life on the ice I have seen.

Do they float?
Do ice boats float? With all the open water out there this year I think I would want that option. "Snake Eyes" does not show any open water but the "Broadview" cam sure does as does "Wiers Cam"
I'm begining to wonder if we will ever really have "Ice In" this season... and am thinking of uncoveriong my boat... |

Bear Islander,
Yes, they are. They're too far away to tell for certain, but I think that they might be DNs. Spotsink, Since they're made of wood, I presume they would float. (Happily, I never had the chance to test that out in person, though!) But, the driver would definitely not stay "high and dry" the way one would in a regular boat. Silver Duck |

Ice sleds perhaps ?
I can't say for sure but looking at the slant of the sails I'm reminded of a windsurfer. Could these have been windsurfer based ice sleds ? Has anyone seen them on Winni ?

Their size seems more like a windsurfer. They also changed direction a few several times over about ten minutes.
