Look forward to seeing you there. Cheryl

We have had to seek an alternative location for this month’s Dinner meeting as the Balmoral Club House was not available for the February meeting. We plan to be there for the March meeting.

January Pot Luck Dinner
A big thanks to those who brought all the tasty dishes. Every thing was delicious. Two of our members rode to the dinner. I think this was the first time in at least two years that this has been possible.

Trail Conditions:
The warm weather has taken a toll on certain Trails. Most affected has been the RED HILL Trail. There are serious water bars and bare ground in several areas. There is a problem on the Northern approach to Bryant Point. As you approach there is an opening in the ice at the edge of the land, a good two feet wide. The water depth is about eight inches. As you hit the land there is a second obstacle in the form of a two foot wide “MUD HOLE”. It is a problem going in either direction. Moultonboro Bay from Tecumseh to Greens Basin is being ridden. On a positive note the Kona and Far Echo trails have held up quite well.

We are grooming as conditions permit. We are looking at more snow this week. Check the Club website for up-to date Trail Conditions. www.moultonborosmc.com

Looking for a volunteer:
The Club is looking to fill the vacant position of Club Secretary. We are looking for someone that can attend our monthly Director Meetings that amongst other duties can take and distribute the minutes of each meeting. This Secretary is a voting Officer of the Club.

Upcoming Club Events:
Club Trip
There is still time to sign up!
The Annual Club Trip will depart on Sunday January 27th and return on Friday February 1st. this years destination will be Presque Isle, Maine. You can plan your stay for as many days as you feel like. There will be an early getaway time on Sunday. Those leaving on Sunday will meet at the School Bus depot across from the Moultonboro Airport at 6:30 an. It is a seven hour ride to Presque Isle. Please call Steve Janaitis @ 603-253- 6707 or Jack Kinney @ 603-253-6991 for further information.
We are hoping to announce several Club rides in the coming weeks. Hopefully the weather will be more cooperative and bring us the needed snow to get the trails back to their mid December condition.

See you on the Trails, George Higgins
