Default NRZ Hearing: Johnson's Cove

Either the Weirs Times or Salmon Press news writes that a hearing is to be held in the Gilford area. Don't know the hearing date due to 2nd hand info.

I looked at the Marine Patrol website and couldn't find anything.

What agency has jurisdiction in this case and wouldn't you think they'd post it on a website?

The Bureau's website is located HERE. I also checked as did Airwaves and could find no mention of a notice for the hearing. However, this does not mean a hearing has not been scheduled, as sometimes updates to these websites fall behind schedule.

Best bet would be to contact the bureau directly by phone or e-mail to determine if such a hearing has indeed been scheduled.

Safe Boating,

With the high cost of fuel, we should think carefully before granting additional no-wake zones. Wouldn't it be better to encourage rafting all over the lake so that boats can keep their engines at rest while passengers enjoy this great public resource.

I wonder if the folks who've bought those lots sought out the hearing? Just speculation on my part but we've been rafting in that cove for years and never had any issues there.

I checked the Wiers Times and could find no mention of a hearing

With the reduced boat traffic on the lake this year, one would think that the state would be doing everything possible to encourage boating
