Default Along Came A Spider

I saw that Lakesrider posted a nice picture of one and somebody here correctly I.D'd it as a Black and Yellow Argiope. They are also known commonly as a Golden Orb Weaver. They are known for spinning very intricate and beautiful webs. I spotted this one today here in Laconia. Taken with a Canon 7D and 70-200 f4.0L

My New England Audbon book calls them Black and Yellow Garden Spiders. You can tell it's them by the thick, zig zag web pattern in the center of their web. We have a ton of them around the house in unmowed clearings. Cool looking arachnids!
