Arrow Roll-A-Dock Tire Found!

Found this floating in the Broads around 7:30 tonight. E-mail me if it is yours.
Should I call any authorities about finding it and if so, who?
I hope the rest of the dock isn’t floating around!

Yikes RG! Thanks for pulling that out of the water.I'd hate to hit that at speed on my little PWC.I'm sure other people feel different.
Is that wheel attached to a dock system that rolls in and out of the water? Thanks SS

We saw a boat come very close to it and it was still light out. There was no choice but to fish it out. I have no idea what it would be like hitting something that big, especially in the dark. Not good, I’m sure.
I have no idea how a Roll-A-Dock system works. Guessing a replacement tire won't come too cheap either. Hope we can find the owner.
Other than posting it on the forum for people to see, what should I do?

Thumbs up Roll-a-Dock Tire

Maybe let the Marine Patrol know you have it, in case anyone has reported it missing? You could also let the Alton PD know, and maybe put a "Found" notice at the Alton Corner Store? Good luck finding the owner, I'd sure hate to have to pay the "disposal fee" on that tire to get rid of it! And kudos to you for pulling it out of the water rather than letting it stay there and having someone run into it..........

I will try again today to contact MP. I accidentally called the number for the hearing impaired. Got the rudest woman on the phone. In hindsight, I should have gotten her name to complain to her superior. Can't find a telephone number on the site for those of us without hearing impairment.
As far as contacting the police, which town should get the call? It was found in the middle of the Broads. Floating down from a northerly direction. Could have come from anywhere.
It shouldn't be a problem for disposal as it is a hard plastic tire. Maybe it will go under the camp with all the other stuff the previous owners left behind.

Hi GWC. It sure has been a while since we've heard from you. Hope all is well.
Thanks for the information on the Roll-A-Dock. Still haven’t heard from anyone looking for it. Oh, well.

Default Mystery Solved

I am fairly certain that the tire came from a dock around the halfway point on the Broads side of the island. There are the remains of a Roll-A-Dock with only one tire on the shore. A tire that is too close to the water’s edge and could be taken away with big waves. Not very responsible. No one was there, so we could not tell them what happened.
