Yacht Club help
Helping out a friend here.............
Does anyone know of a "Yacht Club" that would accomodate a week-end guest (boat)??? An aquaintance of mine is coming to the Lake and staying at Church Landing for a long week-end. Their friends have a 26' Cuddy that they'd like to stay on while up visiting (overnite). Marina's and Public docks are obviously out -- Yacht Clubs were the only thing I could think of. Also, I noticed that the Yacht clubs are few and far between on the "Links" page. |

....rental moorings
Fay's Boat Yard in Gilford has rental moorings with big sailboats in mind but they wouldn't discriminate against a motor boat. If you got the money, they have a mooring with your name on it just for you. Plus, a mooring dinghy service is included.

As you may know, NH does not allow overnighting on the water, unless you're at your slip or moored off your own land. This means all the boats on the lake go to there home slip every night. Which means essentially no transient slips. Most marinas only rent a slip for the whole season. I'm sure there are a few exceptions but only a few.
Way back when, West Alton Marina would let you park your boat on your trailer in the field near the marina. And they would let you sleep on the boat. Might be worth a phone call. |

Lakeport landing usually has a few empty slips they use for service and overnight rentals. They are very limited but are reasonably close to Meredith.
Good Luck |

Roberts Cove Basin will rent to transients, if they have the room. They even trailer dock boats. Give Irving a call: http://www.robertscovebasin.com/

Yacht Club
The yacht club on the west side of Sanders Bay (Winnipesaukee Yacht Club?) years ago was a real yacht club with member exchange privileges. Don't know if that is still the case, but someone might be able to provide more information on this site.

Tranient Slip
Phantom: you might call Akwa Marina in the Weirs to see if they will rent overnight/weekend. They are not nearly at full capacity so might be willing to rent. Docks are new and well equipped.
