Yes it is by invitation only. This cruise usually happens on the first Monday in May, but this year that date would have fallen on the 7th, which was too far into May.

The first public cruise of this season will be:
Sunday, May13, 2012

Default Jealous

I missed the cruise in spite of an invitation and inclination. Responsibilities called. I am jealous and pledging not to miss another. Looking forward to seeing the Mount going by Rattlesnake, particularly Saturday nights!

Jokingly.
Whatever sort of floating object you have on any body of water (or stored in your barn, garage, back yard, etc.), the front is referred to as forward or bow. No exact spot is the bow, but it's all forward.
If one desires to go to a marina and ask questions about one's boat, go ahead and say pointy end. Some double ended canoes and rowing dories are also "pointed" in the back, rear, or the stern!

Smile Thanks for letting us all take the 2012 Shakedown Cruise with you!

RG,

Thank you for taking and better yet, for posting all of your pics from the Mount's Shakedown Cruise for all of us to enjoy! Can't wait for summer vacation to get back to the lake... but for now... your pics are the next best thing to being there in person!
