Glidden Cove Docks
Could anyone tell me anything about the section of about 7 docks next to the 5 bay boathouse in Glidden Cove?
Do those rent out or belong to an association? Any help appreciated. |

They belong to the house with the five bay garage. From what I understand the owner put them in without a permit and paid the fine. There is some on going issues with the state and the owner about the docks.

I think I'm a little confused...you think they belong to the same house with the 5 bay boathouse with garage doors...or another house?
The property with the boathouse is up for sale, 86 Smith Point Road, Alton. This listing mentions nothing about the other docks and when touring the property it was not mentioned. |

Can you post a pic or give us a link? I can't picture where you are talking about.

Here you go, 5 bay boat house is large square right in middle. I am curious about the sections of docking to the left.

They do belong to the house with the five bay garage But they are not included with the property.

Am I correct in that there seems to be a boat ramp between the big Boat house and the docks?
I would start looking into the deeds for the property and surrounding properties to start assessing what is going on. My guess is that everything in that area at one time may have been owned by on person, who had development plans that went south... There may be granted rights of way, etc. that are at play here.

Yes, that helps for sure. But I still don't recognize it. It is in Alton right?

Almost across from the castle, to the right of Rattlesnake Island Association docks.

Sleeper Island docks
I finally got my answer. The docks belong to the Sleeper Island Association.

I forgot to tell you we found it and after finding it, I can see what I didn't recognize it. It is not a place you would notice just going through since it faces away from the main waterway.
