Fishing Report With Sunset 4-13-12
We went out today for a morning and late afternoon run. Got out a little late in the morning as our first line was not in until 7:30 or so. We Boated 6 salmon total and really worked for them!! Two small ones at 15 or so inches and the other four between 19" - 20".
All fish caught off the planer boards 2 and 3 colors down. Nothing on the downrigger and we tried multiple depths with and without attractors, flies, lures you name it we tried it. From what I heard on the radio it was pretty slow all around. I should have been out earlier and maybe tried a little deeper. The good news is my 13 year old nephew was up visiting and he has never caught a salmon before so he landed all the fish today like a pro which were all released to live another day. It was a fun and beautiful day!! Here's today's sunset taken while we were fishing. Dan |
