Default New marker needed near the Graveyard?

Anyone else think there should be a Red marker to the west of the south entrance of the Graveyard? It seems like those rocks are just taunting us. :-)

I am a little confused. The Six Pack is just off of the easternmost tip of Long Island and not that close to the Graveyard on the portion of the map you are using to illustrate. Please clarify. Is one of the three red markers missing?

That's not the 6 pack, but I agree that another marker between 17 and 19 in the picture you posted would be handy for people headed south east from Pistol Island. That said, there's very little traffic headed south east from the Pistol Island area... Not many people boat near Pistol Island and those that do are usually headed to or from the LI bridge area.

Yes I think there was some confusion between what the six pack is and what the graveyard is. The six pack is b/t Long Island and Dow Island and consists of 3 pairs of red and black bouys. You go through it after leaving Long Island bridge and heading East to head toward Moultonboro Bay. Watch for the black markers on your right about a mile after leaving the bridge (they sneak up on people new to the area. there are 2 of those. Then a few miles more and you will hit the six pack.

As for the graveyard markers. Generally when I'm coming from the west side of Dow and heading to MB, I don't go through the grave yard and as such the most direct line has me hugging the two black markers then swinging around Melvin Island (b/t Melvin Island and Chase Island). As such the red marker is irrelevant to me. If you are looking to enter the Graveyard, the red marker may help you swing out south of the entrance of the graveyard and prevent some lower unit damage. This stretch b/t west side of Dow and the Graveyard has a few black markers a long way from shore....make sure you find them and stay north and east of them or you will find some nasty rocks....better yet, avoid that area and go through the six pack and head between Chase Point and Whortleberry.

Bizer is a huge help for me but my Navionics chip is a much bigger help when underway. A quick glance at it when it down eases my mind in new areas.

Default My Bad

I meant Graveyard, not 6-pack. It's been a long week. :-)

Given a choice I much prefer a Six Pack over the Graveyard...although the latter is really not a choice.

I've been known to have a six pack in the graveyard.

Quick questions about the graveyard. Can you be on plane while going through the markers? Is it wide or is it one boat at a time?
Thanks

On plane when alone. No wake with on-coming boats, based on safe passage distance.
