Default Moles or Voles?

I have either Moles or Voles in my yard. Seeing tunnels at surface of ground, running in various directions around the yard. Only a few now, but very concerned, that this will continue, and they'll take over the yard !

Anyone have suggestions on control or elimination, short of hand grenades !
(Caddyshack)

Also, what is the major difference between Moles and Voles?
Think of them both as the same critters.

Thanks,
BD

Wink

A mole is somewhat sightless, and has a pointy, star shaped nose. Moles makes those tunnels. A vole is, for lack of a better explanation, an ugly mouse. They are quite large for a mouse and have dense fur. It has eyes that you can easily see. The best way to get rid of them is to have a good mouse hunter cat. Our cats catch both moles and voles, and cute little mice, and leave them as gifts for us near the cellar door. And Chipmunks too. Natt's wife
