I didn't see the Mini Mount last year in Wolfeboro. Is it still around?

Default Mini Mount

Thanks so much for posting our photo of Sean McDonald from NH Chronicle TV. Sean and his camera man John could not have been more pleasant to work with. They were actually very interested in doing the story about the MM. It will air in about two weeks. We are still looking for a location on land under cover where the boat could be on display. Any suggestions would be appreciated. This continues to be fun. I'd like to hear from Jimmy Fallon next!

On land? Aren't you going to put it back in the lake?

Default Mini mount

Will look forward to that show! My understanding is that the present owner would like to find a good home for this work of art. The Wolfeboro Boat Museum is interested but it may take years for that to happen. Someone suggested donating it to the Rte. 93N rest area as a promotion for the Lakes' Region but the owner would rather keep it closer to the lake. Any ideas?

Default Mini

In reply to a couple of posts-the "Mini" is over at Dave's Boat Shop in Gilford, undercover ! Would be special if she were to make it back on the lake, don't think present owners are quite up to that task-yet.

This week's edition of The Laker has a nice article about the Mini Mount. Looking for a location to display her.

Think you can go to WMUR's website after the show and see the episode.

Sorry I missed it. Even put on my phone calendar. Forgot to record it. If anyone locates a recording I would love to see it. Watched the Mini Mount being built years ago.

I'm so glad they were able to use old footage from 1995 showing Jack Miller and Ed Aleska who built the boat. Chronicle posted a short clip on their facebook page also. Thank you Jack Miller RIP for making this so much fun!

Really appreciate the effort to restore it. Sure wish it would be running in the waters of Winni though as it is quite a sight under power. Congrats!

Phantom thanks very much for posting the link to the TV segment. Chronicle spent lots of time editing all the material we gave them into a six minute program. Keeping the dream alive.

The Little Mount put out quite a wake. At one time we had a 17 foot inboard/outboard. One Sunday we were out on the lake and we traveled by the Little Mount. The wake went right over our bow and swamped our boat. It was in the fall so we were quite cold as we got all wet. We had people on our boat who were not even close to avid boaters. They never wanted to go out for a boat ride with us again!! It was quite an adventure. I miss seeing the Little Mount.
