Default Sunset Moonrise 6-5-12

After such a lousy day, I was happy to see the sun come out about 7PM. Took a drive down to the lake for the "Double Header".

Sunset at 8.23PM Moon rise at 9.43. Anyone lucky enough to be close by Winni tonight, was treated to a pretty good show in the sky.

Great pics, but did you see Venus cross the sun last night around 6-7pm. Sun came out a bit just in time.

No I missed it. The sun was playing "peek-a-boo" with the clouds, and even if it wasn't I wouldn't have dared try to take pictures of it. From what I heard, it could easily fry the sensors to aim at the sun without some very expensive filters.

Now, if this was what you could see I would have gone for the telescope and fancy filters
