Great day today, lots of activity all over the lake. Snowmobiled into Meredith bay and it was a hive of activity. Helicopter rides and I swear I think I saw a bikini contest?

Default good turnout

It was great to see all of the activity on the lake this weekend, we even had trouble finding a place to park at Cattle, lot was full by 10:30am on Saturday. Hope everyone had a great time and the area got a economic boost.
Now the downside, my wife picked up trash and beer cans on the ice today walking back from Bear to Cattle, it a very sad state when people can not pick up after themselves. Come on! who does that?
Its always a few who ruin it for the rest.

You didn't happen to notice where the majority of the plates in the crowded parking lot where from?

Maybe that would give us an idea who does this.

One of the guys in our group got #2 in the Sunday Laker category

And another got #10 in the untagged Rainbow category:

A good time was had by all.

Jeff:

There are slobs in every state. No one state has a monopoly on them. There are also ignorant folks in each state, including NH.

Thumbs up Great Weekend

Our group on Paugus Bay took 5th Place on Saturday with a 4lb 7oz Laker. Nothing for the board on Sunday but all in all an excellent weekend.

Get a clue. Most of those parking at Cattle Landing for the Derby are day tripping locals. Do you even know where Cattle Landing is Jeff??

Thanks to Bear Island South and wife for picking up after the those who don't love the lake enough to keep it clean by simply picking up after themselves.

Default Success at the Derby

Broke the line pulling a good sized cusk though the hole on Saturday -- Grr -- But I did manage to land another decent sized one on Sunday and it stayed on the board most of the day (5.17 pounds/29 inches). I knew it was at the light end of what would probably be caught, but it was fun to have one on the board most of the day just the same.

Next year!

Default 1 fish on Saturday 3 on Sunday...

1 Laker
1 Cusk
2 Yellow Perch

-----Combined Weight For Weekend----------

2 pounds 10 ounces....yellow perch healthy 4 ounces..and 2nd hefty 6 ounces

32 years and I can't even win the $100 every 15min

But there is always next year.....Bring on the Spring Derby

You are right, I can honestly say the majority of vehicles at Cattle were NH plates. Like I said it is only a few who will ruin the experience.

Glad you enjoyed them, yeah that first shot is a keeper. i am putting together a photo montage this week and I'll post it here when done. Also put up a youtube video which, if you watch, you should be prepared for a little overexcited rough language. I haven't counted the f-bombs dropped, but it's at least in the range of 10. But it's a guys weekend and everybody was having so much fun - what can you do?

Here's another shot:

And here's a youtube video of us nabbing the rainbow (warning, overexcited f-bombs aplenty! Boys will be boys...).
