GPS Chip
I recently purchased a Garmin 496 for aviation and marine purposes. What is the best electronic chart of Winnipesaukee? Thanks.

http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...ead.php?t=4865 Bizer has a better C-MAP chip but it's not compatible with Garmin. Using the Garmin compatible chip with a Bizer map to check finer details should keep you out of trouble. Duncan Press also puts out informative maps but I like Bizer's better. Since the chips are based from their paper maps, the presentation formats match up better. At least that's my opinion based on use of the C-MAP version and a Standard Horizon chart-plotter. Good luck! |
