Default Sandwich Fair - It's almost here!!

So who's going to the Sandwich fair? I can just taste the Blooming Onion, Sausage Sandwich and Fries now. Of course not all at once I'll come up for air in between...

We love the Sandwich Fair. Unfortunately since my son starting playing travel Ice Hockey we have not made it the past 3 years. Someone please have an order of fries and a turkey leg for me.

Default Sandwich Fair

Use to be a family tradition every year! It has gotten so 'commercialized', it lost the favoritism.

I will be in a Shriner's Minikar during the parade on Sunday, and will enjoy the fair before and after the parade. Still enjoy the fairs.

UP, Thanks for joining us for the Parade it is a long standing tradition and absolutely fills our little town at the most beautiful time of year "Its always peak foliage"
As you know the Parade always steps off at 1pm Sunday of Fair weekend but parking and roads fill up a couple of hours before.

The Parade can be observed from the Fair grounds but there is more room up on Main street once you are stamped you can come and go through the gates.

Those participating in the Parade get stamped for all day Sunday.

The theme this year is the 7 wonders of Sandwich base on a book by former Sandwich resident Cornellus Weygandt.

The world renowned CONCORD COACH will be making its annual appearance being pulled by a beautiful team of horses.

Also stop by the Qumiby barn and check out the Sandwich historical society transportation museum which is right next to the Town Hall.
I consider it the 8 wonder of Sandwich.

And "Up" when you get to the Parade massing grounds be sure to say hello, I'm the one acting like I'm in charge

I'm going to try to make it! It's been a few years since I've gone. I used to ride in the horse show there maybe 7 or 8 years ago, and I've been to watch and attend the fair since. I love their exhibits, and yes...their blooming onions are amazing! C-Man usually has a food booth set up there too.
Always a fun environment.

I go the Sandwich Fair and Fryeburg Fair every year. If if you have never been to Fryeburg you should go and check it out. It has a little bit of everything. I look forward to it every autumn.
