Default Another great weekend!

We came up Friday afternoon with some friends. With all the negative weather reports we were seeing and hearing, we thought for sure the whole weekend would be a washout.

Well Friday afternoon and evening were simply beautiful and the lake was super calm and we all enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

Saturday morning came and the sun was out so we decided to do some fishing after we had breakfast. We caught three nice salmon in about two hours and there was hardly anyone fishing or boating anywhere!

At around 2:00 P.M. we headed over to the West Alton sandbar for a swim and there was only two other boats there!! It was great! Water was just as calm as can be and hardly a boat in sight.

Took the new jet ski out late Saturday afternoon out in the broads and it was just like a mirror. I really got the opportunity to test it out without being pounded by waves and learn just what this puppy can do.

Yes, the rain finally did make it here today, but it has been on and off and after the last two great days we really didn't mind. Now I don't have to water the grass or my tomato plants!!

All in all a great weekend and I hope many of you here got to enjoy it as much as we did!!

Default weekend turned out ok

Dan,
I was worried about the weather also but turned out pretty good. I am amazed at how little boat traffic is out there. I have been up for the past 3 weekends and dont remember it this quiet.

Saw you on your jetski, what a nice ride that one is !!

Hi W.I.;

I had to drop my Manitou off at Thurstons Marina for servicing and I never encountered another boat from Welch island all the way there. Even at the Weirs and through the Paugus channel no one! I hope this was just weather related absences and not a sign of things to come this summer...

Yes, the Jetski is a nice ride! I am very happy with it and am now looking for another as I realized jet skiing alone is only so much fun!!

Take care!

Thumbs up Sat surprise

It was a great weekend. We got the SeaDoo in Sat and I was hoping to get a brief ride in just to check things out. Well the clouds came ... and went. I skirted some rain but was out for a few hours in sunshine. As noted above, very few boats were out and about, no doubt due to the forecast, which had the result of nice flat water. Suffice it to say the SeaDoo outruns the Mee'n'Mac though it loses perhaps 5 mph with a full fuel load.

Would you mean when the operator is fully fueled?

I'm sure the PWC loses fully 15 mph when this operator is operating. YMMV.

Well in that case I think we both lose 15 mph then. But then that would mean mine would go 77 mph without me on board?

Since you own a PWC, without you on board it would go exactly 0 mph.
