Default Early planters-frost on the way

Suppose to be below freezing the next few mornings, with a very cool/cold and windy weekend on tap.

Default Freezing Weather and Boats

Not only the plants.

What about boats already in the water and de-winterized? Temps on the Black Cat Island Weather Center site 7 day forecast says 25 overnight for the next 3 nights and Monday 31 overnight. Are boats at risk of freeze ups/block cracks etc?

Default Boats in the water should be fine

The lake is about 50 degrees right now so the boats in the water should be fine. The temps are above 32 during the day. It is the water systems that are at risk... again the closer to the water the better off they will be.

I only see about 3-4 hours each night for the below freezing temps. Do you have a different forecast?

The Weather Channel website has Meredith hitting 32 at 1AM, bottoming out at 28 around 5AM, and reaching 32 by 8AM.

I hope the apple trees come out of this OK...Happy Arbor Day to all the fruit trees out there.
