There is half a dozen places within walking distance from the docks. What type of place do you enjoy?

I think the best value in town is Katie's Kitchen. The place is definitely nothing fancy but the food is as good as any other spot for breakfast. If you like to see the real locals this is the place. If you have a big appetite try the "kitchen sink".

Can't disagree that Katie's makes great breakfasts, but I'd say a bit of an unpleasant hike across town and then down Center Street.

Some other recommendations, all on Main Street:

BN is correct. Katie's is about a half mile from Dockside. You can eliminate that dastardly hill on Center Street by not going that way.

This summer our favorite go to place is the Wolfe's Tavern. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, we have never been disappointed.

Thumbs up Katie's

Paul and I love Katie's Kitchen! It is located next to the liquor store in Clark's Plaza and is an easy walk from the docks if you go by the old train station and take the walking path until you see the ball fields, then take that right, which will lead you to the paring lot behind Harvest Market. Katie's is across the street from here.

Katie's offers great food for little money. Very dineresque with a friendly feel. Katie, owner/waitress is welcoming and makes you feel like part of the family. Need more coffee while she's busy? The locals get up and grab the pot, filling neighbor's cups along the way. We meet so many nice people when we go.

We've been for many breakfasts and have taken Katie's homemade macaroni and cheese to go for later. YUM! The breakfast potatoes have been consistently delish, which helps to make this a winner in our book. Along with the normal bread offerings, for a very nominal fee you can get homemade bread! Mmmm.

They open very early at 4:00 am and are there through lunch, closing at 1:00 pm. Stop by Katie's and experience the local flavor of Wolfeboro while enjoying a great and satisfying meal.

Default Looking for breakfast in Wolfeboro

Wolfe Tavern serves a good breakfast, is a short walk from the docks, and has a certain old charm atmosphere.

Downtown Grille is right at the docks, with a deck out the water side giving you the $ million dollar plus view of Wolfeboro Bay. They offer a variety of food, all excellent, particularly the muffins, but, in all honesty, I must say it is not diner style.

Katie's is great, and walk is not too long, and going by the Bridge-Falls path eliminates the hill.

I can't speak for the Wolfeborough Diner because I do not go there.

I'll second the Wolfeborough Diner...good diner food, simple, friendly. It does tend to fill up later in the morning though. A couple of doors north of the bridge on Main street, an easy walk from the docks.

We have vacationed in Wolfeboro for well over a decade. Done all the local diners for breakfast. Being bored...Last year we went to Georges for the first time..OH Wait...that's in Meridith......It's WELL Worth the drive.
...
Don't be intimidated by it's popularity and worry about long lines. Georges knows how to handle this. We were IN in 15 minutes on a Sunday morning. Twice in a row..When we left the Lakes at the end of our vacation..we normally head south out of Wolfeboro....WE went North around the lake to Georges again. The best diner for breakfast anywhere in recent memory. My fave is the Burrito. NB

Our favorite is the Downtown Grill, just to the right of the docks on Main St. next to the Hallmark store. It has an open patio with tables as well as inside eating.

Downtown Grill was great. Thanks to all for the great ideas. We will try all of the places that were suggested.
