Default Safe boating education

I expect that all of the "members" already have their boating ed. certificates. It just goes with the type of folks that we are.

I do know from experiance that there are many out there including younger people who could use the class.

I teach the course for the CG Auxiliary.

In the past I have been invited to give the course at boat clubs, Lakeside trailer parks, yacht clubs and Lakefront associations. We had a great time!

I know that to take the time for a class you have to give up valuable Lake time. Solution... we set up a class from 8:00AM to noon on a saturday and again on sunday. You get the class take the test and haven't blown your weekend.

For those younger boaters (16 and up) (will do 15yrs. also) just thiink about NOT taking this class. When you want to go skiing with your pals, Mom can drive! When you want to take your girlfriend out on the jet ski your big sister can drive! Man won't you look cool! Or you can take the class get the ticket and have a fun summer.

So. If any of you can come up with 10 or more (I can handle as many as you can get) students I will come to YOUR location which hopfully has a space to teach the group.

At the end of the two mornings you will be awarded a US Coast Guard Auxiliary certificate that is NASBLA approved. What's more, we can also give you your NH safe boating card (actually the NHMP does this but after the class it will come in the mail).

So for youngsters and newbies it is a easy way to get certified and you will not believe how much you have learned in such a short time. For you old hands that may wish to retake the class you will probably pick up a thing or two.

And this class, unlike some others, is really FUN. If you don't have a laugh or two, you are not breathing.

Talk to your associations and if it is a "GO" call me (Dave 455-7178). I do not get on the computer daily.
