Many Realtors are rental agents. Also, Homeaway.com and VRBO.com. There are often listings on this site's classifieds. Now is the time. Many people book for next year when they finish their vacation this year. You can't wait until spring.

The dogs might be a problem.

A neighbor on the island would rent to families with dogs. He stopped when he had to many complaints from neighbors.

It's incredible to me but some people think leash laws do not apply to islands. Over the years police and Fish and Game have had to explain it to them.

I agree with the Homeaway.com, VRBO etc but you can also look on individual real estate firms and they list their rentals too.

Classifieds on this site include some rental listings.
You could also try craigslist.

Default Rental Info and word of warning about Craigslist

Hi
I am a vacation rental agent at At The Lake Vacation Rentals in Moultonborough.

Be wary of using Craiglists for rentals. Scam artists take photos and descriptions from legitimate sites and post them as their own. It is safer using a rental company (of course I would love you to use ours ).

Feel free to email me, annie@lakesregionrentals.com or check out our website.http://www.lakesregionrentals.com/

We use Air B&B or Home Away.....Just because they say no pets doesn't mean they won't consider it. Send a message to the owner and explain that your a responsible pet owner etc. and most of them will allow it. The last two places we rented said no pet but allowed us after we spoke to them.

I can see why you would like that, as a pet owner, but people with allergies are looking for the "no pets" designation and could be in for an miserable stay if they rent afterward. I would be verifying that beforehand, myself, but others might be more trusting. Just saying.
