Default Owls Nest Dock

Anyone know whats going on with the docks at the Owls Nest / Wise Owl store and restaurant?? Last couple times we went by boat we have not been able to dock and go to the store because the dock has a sign that says "unsafe to dock". They also appear to have built some kind of beach area there. Is there an issue with the docks there?? We miss going there by boat and hope thety re-open the docks.

Thanks!!

Dan

Default Owls Nest dock info

I called them and they said the outer portion of the dock is unstable but if you park as close to shore you should be OK. Of course if you have a large boat it may be risky. They said they are getting it repaired in the next couple of weeks. Mentioned to them that people enjoy going to their place by boat.
I do.

Default Where is it?

I've looked for it a couple of times, and can't seem to find the Owl's Nest by boat.

Any directions/landmarks, etc. would be appreciated.

I went to it last June, it was about a mile east of Ames Farm. Its a single dock with room for two boats, there is a sign. There's a dirt path going uphill from the dock towards the shop/restaurant, which is actually right on Route 11.

EDIT: On a bizzare side note, they make their omelettes with 8 eggs. Yes, you read that right.
